PARIS (CNN) -- Vintage car lovers have been flocking to the
23rd Retro Mobile exhibition, a show that coincides with
100th anniversary celebrations of the famed French car
manufacturer Renault.
The exhibition features an array of vintage cars and
motorcycles dating from the first vehicles to hit the road to
customized models of the present day.
The event is also a good opportunity for vintage car owners
to buy precious spare parts.
While some of the rare exhibits are for sale, most visitors
on Friday, the opening day of the 10-day show, seemed happy
to just enjoy seeing the cars.
This year is the 100th anniversary for car manufacturer
Renault, and its first car -- the Taxi de la Marme -- is
among the vehicles on display at the show.
Other exhibits include a 1925 Model T Ford, the first
model Citroen 2CV ever made, and a Sunbeam 1000HP,
the fastest car in the world when it was built in 1927. It
could attain a speed of 200 mph.
