BERLIN (CNN) -- Less than a month before he has to slide down chimneys and deliver the gifts, Kris Kringle had to cram.
About 300 Santas and 80 angels met on Friday in the main lecture hall of the mathmatical institute of Berlin's Technical University to get a bit of training for the Christmas season.
Singing carols and being briefed by more experienced Santas, the students prepared themselves for a special yuletide job.
They traditionally hired themselves out to sing carols to families and entertain children on Christmas Eve. The student job center at the Technical University helps place them.
So far, about 2,500 requests have been received.
