LONDON (CNN) -- Queen Elizabeth II arrived in London Friday and greeted thousands of mourners gathered outside Buckingham Palace.
Meanwhile, outside Princess Diana's home, Kensington Palace, Prince Charles and their sons walked among the crowds, accepting bouquets of flowers in memory of their mother.
The princes, William, 15, and Harry, nearly 13, arrived in
London from Scotland Friday, accompanied by their father.
"Oh William, William," one well-wisher said.
"Thank you so much," William said, after accepting a bouquet.
