Candid 1995 conversation with 'Queen of Hearts'

Web posted at: 7:55 p.m. EDT (2355 GMT)(CNN) -- Diana, Princess of Wales, had a love-hate relationship with the media, but in November 1995 she sat down for a candid conversation with the British Broadcasting Corp.
In an interview with Martin Bashir, Diana talked about her battle with bulimia, her anguish over her husband's involvement with another woman, and her own affair with James Hewitt.
The princess also discussed her role in the monarchy. Although she realized she would never be crowned, Diana said she hoped to reign as "Queen of Hearts."
