Villagers squash tomatoes like bugs

Web posted at: 4:31 p.m. EDT (2031 GMT)BUNOL, Spain (CNN) -- The main street in this Spanish village resembled pasta sauce after thousands of villagers squashed 100 tons of juicy, ripe tomatoes during a traditional tomato-throwing festival.
The fiesta, known as Tomatada, began with revelers pelting each other with the ripe red fruit before breaking out into the foot-stomping melee. Join the fun with CNN Interactive -- but beware of the splattering 'maters.
