Old English makes way for Manipur in new 'Macbeth'
LONDON (CNN) -- Shakespeare's tragedy "Macbeth" is surrounded by theatrical superstitions. Some actors and directors won't even speak its name, calling it "the Scottish play."
Imagine, then, rendering the play into an obscure dialect from India and staging it on a raft in the river Thames. It's part of London's commemorations of India's half-century of independence.
