Beijing bomb was apparent suicide

BEIJING (CNN) -- A bomb that went off in a Beijing park Tuesday was apparently set off by a man who killed himself, police said.

Police said the man, from Hunan province, left a suicide note, but they refused to comment on its contents.

No other casualties were reported in the blast at Zhongshan Park in the western corner of the Forbidden City, the former Chinese imperial palace.
