BEIJING (CNN) -- Provincial authorities in Guangdong
destroyed over half a million illegal audio and video
products as part of a crackdown on violations of intellectual
property rights, the China Youth Daily said Saturday.
A steamroller smashed the products, the paper said.
China and the United States were on the brink of a
multi-billion dollar trade war earlier in the summer because
Washington believed China did not do enough to combat piracy
of intellectual property.
