PARIS (CNN) --
Police
arrested a gunman who took 35 people hostage Friday in the offices of a Paris bank. Two people were injured, one by gunfire, but their injuries were not
serious.
Police said the man, in his 50s, was apparently a former
employee of the bank, AD Capital, on the swank Boulevard
Haussmann on the Right Bank in central Paris.
As people gathered outside the building,
he held 35 people hostage on the third floor of the bank for about an hour before releasing all but one. He released the
final hostage after negotiating with police.
Officials arrested the gunman without a struggle.
Paris Bureau Chief Peter Humi contributed to this report.
