ISTANBUL, Turkey (CNN) -- At least 17 people were killed
and 41 injured in a fire that broke out Sunday in the Tozbey
Hotel in a tourist area of downtown Istanbul. Most of the
casualties were reported to be from a group of Ukrainian
women
who were staying in the seven-story, three-star hotel.
The lower floors of the hotel were gutted in the blaze, which
police said may have been sparked by a natural gas leak.
