MOSCOW (CNN) -- A U.S. businessman was killed Sunday in a "gangland style" shooting in Moscow.
Paul Tatum of AMERICOM Business Centers, Inc., the American half of a Russian-American partnership that manages the Radisson Hotel location in Moscow, was shot dead near Kiyev Train Station, police sources said. A source with the U.S. Embassy in Moscow confirmed the killing.
The weapon used was a machine gun, which the killer dropped at the scene. Paul Tatum was taken to a hospital by his bodyguards; he died shortly after the arrival without regaining consciousness.
