BELFAST, Northern Ireland (CNN) -- Prosecutors charged a 32-year-old Belfast kitchen designer with conspiracy Saturday in connection with the IRA bombing of the British army's Northern Ireland headquarters.

Michael Rogan was charged with conspiring to set off explosions between June 3 and October 8. The Irish Republican Army -- which seeks to end British rule of Northern Ireland -- exploded two bombs at Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn on October 7, one of which killed a British soldier. The bombings near Belfast injured about 30 people.
