Shooting leaves 13 dead in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia (CNN) -- Gunmen sprayed a south Mogadishu restaurant with machine-gunfire Tuesday after launching a rocket grenade into it, killing 13 people and leaving 16 wounded.

The gunmen have not been identified, but most of the dead belonged to the sub-clan of Somali faction leader Hussein Aidid, who took control after the death of his father, Mohamed Farah Aidid, in August.

There have been several attacks in south Mogadishu since the elder Aidid's death.
