TOKYO (CNN) -- Ever wondered how Fido sees the world? Well,
wonder no more! Dylan the dog is on the case, and it's all
in the name of art.
The scene: Tokyo, a town with barely enough room for people,
let alone pets. Our hero: Dylan, dog of unknown derivation,
soon to start his 15 minutes of fame. His keeper: a Tokyo
businessman with hopefully enough business sense to make some
money off the deal. The artist: Nobuhira Narumi. The plot:
Keeper loans Hero to Artist.
Next thing Dylan knows, he's trotting around Tokyo with a
tiny camera strapped to his head, and Narumi is trotting
right along next to him, recording the doggy-cam images.
Dylan's made three jaunts with Narumi, who has edited the
tapes for exhibits in galleries in Tokyo, London and
Edinburgh.
Narumi calls his work "a joint effort." Isn't that what they
all say?
