ULAN BATOR, Mongolia (CNN) -- Mongolia's parliament has
elected its first democratic prime minister, after 75 years
of rule by communists and their heirs.
M. Enkhsaikhan, who united a democratic coalition for
parliamentary elections in June, was elected prime minister
by parliament on Friday. He pledged to reform Mongolia's
state-owned economic system to create a good environment for
international investment and trade.
