BERLIN (CNN) -- Pulsating to a techno-rhythm beat, at least
half a million revelers danced through Berlin's streets
Saturday in the eighth annual Love Parade, billed as the
world's largest rave.
Techno-pop music fans grooved along a 2.5-mile stretch of
road, wearing brightly colored clothes, typical of these late
night dance parties.
"The feeling here is incredible," said one bleached-blond
teen from Dessau, in eastern Germany, as he pulsed to the
heavy rhythm.
"It's great," raved Noboru Ushiyama, 33, of Tokyo, decked out
in fluorescent green and orange.
The first parade was in 1989, with 150 people dancing behind
a Volkswagen bus bearing the phrase "Peace, Happiness and
Pancakes."
