TOKYO (CNN) - A man claiming to be a member of a Japanese
ultranationalist group called O-koku Kinseito (Imperial
Constitutitonal Government Party) rammed a car into the gate
of the South Korean embassy in Tokyo on Friday. The car
caught fire but no one was injured.
Shinichi Sogame, 28, who was alone, was carrying leaflets
about a territorial dispute between Tokyo and Seoul, but
police are still questioning his motives. The dispute
concerns two tiny, uninhabited islands in the Sea of Japan
called Tokdo by South Korea and Takeshima by Japan.
