The latest charges filed in the Oklahoma bombing case are charges against the government. Timothy McVeigh's lawyers accuse the government of tampering with witnesses and of leaking grand jury information to the media.
McVeigh's defense attorneys filed a motion today demanding all grand jury transcripts within ten days of any indictment. Evidence of wrongdoing could get the indictment dismissed.
Prosecutors have until August 11 to indict McVeigh or turn him loose. Prosecutors hope another witness will explain how the bombing was financed.
James Rosencrans is expected to testify this week about a gun he received from McVeigh's friend, Michael Fortier. The gun may have been stolen in Arkansas. Investigators believe the robbery may have been carried out to fund the bombing.
