CNN O.J. Simpson Trial

Poll: Most think prosecution strong; few believe police prejudice widespread

[OJ poll] (CNN) -- As the O.J. Simpson trial winds down, fewer Americans think that the prosecution's case is a strong one. While most of those answering a CNN-Time Magazine survey said prosecutors are doing the job, the number has dropped seven points since January, and 17 points since last July.

[police poll] The focus on racial slurs by former detective Mark Fuhrman appears to be having little impact on the public's overall view of police. Sixty-three percent of those surveyed believe few police officers are prejudiced against blacks. Only 8 percent said most police are prejudiced.
