(CNN) -- As the O.J. Simpson trial winds down, fewer Americans think
that the prosecution's case is a strong one. While most of those answering
a CNN-Time Magazine survey said prosecutors are doing the job, the number
has dropped seven points since January, and 17 points since last July.
The focus on racial slurs by former detective Mark
Fuhrman appears to be having little impact on the public's overall view of
police. Sixty-three percent of those surveyed believe few police officers
are prejudiced against blacks. Only 8 percent said most police are
prejudiced.
