Simpson trashes friends, foes

garcetti

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- O.J. Simpson has lashed out at Los Angeles District Attorney Gil Garcetti and Judge Lance Ito, and even said he was disappointed with his friend Marcus Allen.

He made the comments in an interview in The Los Angeles Sentinel, a weekly African-American newspaper.

"I am going to campaign big time against Garcetti," Simpson told the Sentinel, referring to Garcetti's re-election campaign. Simpson called Garcetti "a putz."

Simpson used the same word for Ito, calling him "a total putz". Simpson says Ito has refused to return personal items to him because they are needed for the civil trial.

Simpson said he was disappointed with Allen for refusing to testify on his behalf. "But I've forgiven him, because he's like family to me."

Simpson was cleared in October of the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. Their families, however, have filed wrongful-death suits against the former football star.
