ATLANTA (CNN) -- Eleven of the 13 people injured in
Thursday's shooting spree at two Atlanta stock brokerages
remained hospitalized Friday at four area hospitals:
At Northside Hospital, two patients were in critical but
stable condition, according to a spokeswoman for the
hospital. They are a 23-year old woman with a gunshot wound
in the back and a 25-year old man with wounds in the chest
and abdomen.
At Grady Memorial Hospital, six people remained
hospitalized. Of those, three were in critical but stable
condition, two were in satisfactory condition and one was in
good condition.
At St. Joseph's Hospital, two people remained
hospitalized. One was a 27-year old man who was upgraded from
critical to fair condition Friday after undergoing four hours
of surgery for a bullet wound in the abdomen. He also had a
bullet go through his right arm. The other patient was a 38-
year old woman in serious condition with bullet wounds to the
face and chest. The shot through her face may cause her to
lose her vision in both eyes, a hospital spokeswoman said.
At Atlanta Medical Center, a 24-year old man who suffered
three gunshot wounds was in good condition, according to a
spokeswoman. "We don't expect any complications as a result
of the injuries," she said.
