LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- A sellout crowd will attend the
championship game of the 1999 Women's World Cup this weekend
at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. With some 90,000
expected to attend, it will be the biggest crowd ever for a
women-only sporting event.
President Clinton used his political power to get a last-
minute ticket. But other fans are turning to scalpers -- with
one desperate seat seeker offering to pay $1,000 for a
ticket.
So why does it seem that the whole world wants to watch women
play soccer ?
Watch Correspondent Anne McDermott's report on what may be
fueling the frenzy over females on the soccer field.
