ADRIATIC SEA (CNN) -- The crew of the nuclear-powered submarine USS Norfolk has spent years learning how to scan the ocean surface for military threats and to fire missiles underwater.
Now the crew is performing these tasks for real in its mission to protect NATO ships in the Adriatic Sea during the campaign against Yugoslavia.
