BOSTON (CNN) -- If all the attention being given to Y2K leaves you wondering "Why?" you're not alone. Even though polls show most Americans expect computer problems associated with the arrival of the year 2000, few of them are doing much to avoid a disruption in their lives.
It's a complacency Richard Landes doesn't understand. "I certainly don't think that people who say, 'Don't worry, it's all in control,' are being honest," says Landes, founder of Boston University's Center for Millennial Studies.
