(CNN) -- Keiko, the famous killer whale, is learning how to catch his own dinner, a skill he will need before he can be set free in waters just south of the Arctic Circle.
Before he was flown there last fall, the star of the movie "Free Willy" spent 2 1/2 years in rehabilitation at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. He was liberated in 1995 from a cramped amusement park tank in Mexico City.
