ABOARD THE USS CARL VINSON (CNN) -- While President Clinton's impeachment trial dominates Washington and the television airwaves, daily life goes on for U.S. troops stationed in the Persian Gulf.

The 6,000 men and women aboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier are not much different from many Americans back home in the way they feel about the proceedings.

Correspondent Martin Savidge reports on how the trial is affecting morale in a faraway place.
