LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Last year's merger of Chrysler and
German auto-maker Daemler-Benz may have started a trend.
On Tuesday, Ford Motor Co. denied it is attempting to buy
Japanese car-maker Honda or German automaker BMW. Even so,
there's ample evidence that globalization in the auto
industry is the road to better customer satisfaction and, as
a result, a better bottom line.
Correspondent Charles Feldman reports on international
alliances and what they mean to the car-buying public.
