N.J. police: 'Multiple fatalities' in tour bus accident
Web posted at: 12:20 p.m. EST (1720 GMT) SAYREVILLE, New Jersey (CNN) -- A tour bus ran off the Garden State Parkway and overturned Thursday resulting in "multiple fatalities," New Jersey State Police told CNN. At least eight people were killed, The Associated Press reported, sourcing State Police. More than 20 people were injured in the accident, police told CNN. The bus left the southbound lane and overturned in the median, said Police Sgt. Al Dellafave. Several people were ejected from the bus, while others were trapped and had to be freed, Dellasave told CNN. SGS Tours said the bus was on its way from Brooklyn to Atlantic City, New Jersey, one of several trips its makes each day carrying gamblers to Atlantic City casinos.
