SHELTON, Washington (CNN) -- Heavy rains caused some rivers and creeks to overflow their banks this week. But while flooded roads were an annoyance to motorists, they provided a detour for swimming salmon. This fish managed to escape from its stream and flounder through a swamped field before it swam across a submerged road. All the while, a camera recorded the little adventure. The sizable salmon eventually ran out of road and became merely a fish out of water. (Don't worry, somebody put him back.)
