BOSTON (CNN) -- As the nation continues to be fascinated by the heroics and
tragedy displayed in Steven Spielberg's movie "Saving Private Ryan," for one
family in Boston the film has brought back bitter memories.
Thirty years ago, a U.S. Navy pilot serving in Vietnam was shot down near the
coast of China.
However, in this case, U.S. officials failed to go to his rescue. And years later,
the pilot's widow learned why that decision was reached, as Correspondent Larry
Woods found out.
