The fluctuating stock market keeps traders busy

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Imagine working in a field where you must monitor an ever- changing onslaught of information, and manage millions -- if not billions -- of dollars in transactions a day.

That's life in the financial fast-lane.

Peter Leuty, 38, compares his job as a trading specialist for Charles Schwab & Co. to skydiving, race car driving or lion taming.

Correspondent Jennifer Auther spent Thursday watching Leuty's frenzied pace on the Pacific Stock Exchange -- as the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 357 points.

Sample the action.
