babies July 21, 1998
Web posted at: 9:56 p.m. EDT (2156 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Jackie Thompson gave birth to the nation's first set of African-American sextuplets 14 months ago. Now, she and her husband, Linden, have received a gift -- a three-story Victorian house in which to raise Anne Marie, Emily, Octavia, Richard and Stella, whose sister, Allison, was stillborn. CNN's Kathleen Koch reports on the family's move from a tiny apartment to a five-bedroom house provided by a foundation created by Freddie Mac, the Federal Home Mortgage Corp.
