LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- One of Hollywood's leading men is about to take the lead at the National Rifle Association.
Charlton Heston, currently vice president of the powerful group, formally assumes the NRA presidency on Monday. And he'll be facing at least one high-profile controversy.
James Brady, the White House press secretary who was severely wounded in the 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, is challenging the NRA to take a leading role in the battle against violence in the nation's schools.
