LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Three gang members were found guilty
Thursday of the 1996 robbery-murder of Haing Ngor, the Oscar-
winning actor from Cambodia.
Three separate juries found Tak Sun Tan, 21, Jason Chan, 20,
and Indra Lim, 20; guilty of first-degree murder and second-
degree robbery.
The three gang members were charged with killing Ngor during
a robbery in an alley behind his Chinatown area apartment in
February 1996.
Ngor, who escaped from Cambodia in 1980, won an Academy Award
for the 1984 film "The Killing Fields," in which he drew on
his first-hand experience in Cambodia during the rule of Pol
Pot and the Khmer Rouge.
