MIAMI (CNN) -- Advertisements aimed at combating teen smoking and funded by Florida's $11.3 billion settlement with the tobacco industry hit newspapers and airwaves on Monday.
The print and broadcast campaign uses the slogan: "Their brand is lies. Our brand is truth." The ads attack the tobacco industry as well as the movie industry for promoting cigarettes.
The ads were partly designed by 600 teen-agers who gathered at a tobacco summit earlier this month.
The campaign is part of a $50 million, two-year campaign by Florida to reduce teen smoking.
