PONTIAC, Michigan (CNN) -- Dr. Jack Kevorkian and his
assistant were present at the deaths of two women in Iowa and
Michigan, his lawyer said Tuesday.
Kevorkian's lawyer Geoffrey Fieger identified the women as
46-year-old Cheri Tremble of Iowa City, Iowa, who suffered
from metastasized breast cancer, and 89-year-old Margaret
Weilhart of Oceanside, California, who had suffered a stroke,
was paralyzed on her right side and was going blind.
Fieger said Kevorkian and his associate Dr. Georges Reding, a
psychiatrist, were present at the deaths, but would not say
how the women died.
