SANTA PAULA, California (CNN) -- The search is on for the Great Pumpkin!
At the Faulkner Farm in Santa Paula, some 50 miles north of Los Angeles, the pumpkins grow in all sizes.
They range from petite pumpkins that can fit in the palm of your hand to gargantuan gourds that were just too heavy to lift unaided.
On a bright autumn day, young pumpkin pickers pored over the field, looking for that perfect jack-o'-lantern-to-be. But sometimes the choice turned out to be a little more than even Mom could handle.
