MONTROSE, Colorado (CNN) -- Search crews on Friday found the wreckage of a charter plane that vanished three days ago with eight federal workers and a pilot aboard. Authorities said there apparently were no survivors.
Montrose County Sheriff Gene Hill described the scene as "total devastation."
The wreckage was spotted near the rugged, 10,200-foot Uncompahgre Plateau west of Montrose where teams have searched the last few days.
The eight passengers -- employees of the Bureau of
Reclamation -- were en route from Montrose to Page, Arizona,
200 miles away, when their plane vanished Wednesday morning.
