Thief snatches $30 from child's lemonade stand

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, New Jersey -- Taking candy from a baby is low. Stealing from a lemonade stand isn't much better.

A thief in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, stooped just that low last Saturday, robbing 8-year-old Ami Reader, who was trying to make money to help her out-of-work father.

The robber, who has not been apprehended, snatched her cash box containing about $30.

"He must have needed money pretty bad to steal it from a child," her mother said.

Ami re-opened for business Sunday, and earned another $30.
