KINGMAN, Arizona (CNN) -- A packed Amtrak passenger train derailed in northwestern Arizona Saturday, injuring more than two dozen passengers, authorities said. There was no immediate word on deaths, nor was it known how many people were aboard the train or what direction it was traveling.

The train derailed 13 miles east of Kingman on a Burlington Northern-Santa Fe line, said Don Thompson, chief of the railroad safety office of Arizona. Sheriff's officials said the train struck an overhead bridge.
