August 5, 1997Web posted at: 10:57 p.m. EDT (0257 GMT) FAIRFAX, Virginia (CNN) -- The Pakistani man charged in Virginia with killing two CIA agents outside the agency's gates in 1993 won a minor tactical victory in state court Tuesday. A judge ordered prosecutors to provide lawyers for Mir Aimal Kansi with witness's descriptions of the killer following the shootings. Kansi was a fugitive when he was captured in a daring raid by FBI agents in Pakistan and flown to Virginia to stand trial on capital murder charges. The trial is set for November. Also Tuesday, the defendant's oldest brother, Hameedullah Kansi, denounced reports that his large, prominent family had threatened to retaliate against U.S. targets in Pakistan. The eldest of the ten Kansi siblings told reporters, "They are totally baseless allegations. I deny them. I've denied them there in my own country." Related story:
