Roller coaster derby ends with 3 winners

SAN DIEGO (CNN) -- The competition had its ups and downs, but three people with strong wills -- and even stronger stomachs -- won new cars for enduring more than 2,900 consecutive rides on a San Diego roller coaster.

The "Whirl 'Til You Hurl" contest, sponsored by local radio station Star 100.7, began nearly two weeks ago with 22 contestants before being trimmed to the eventual winners.

"It was just that I needed the car," said winner Beckie Reiley, 24, of Mission Beach, California. The other winners were David Cilio and Chris Dison.
