June 26, 1997Web posted at: 1:46 p.m. EDT (1346 GMT) LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- O.J. Simpson's Brentwood estate is to be auctioned on July 14, with the minimum bid starting at just under $2.5 million, an executive of the bank handling Simpson's foreclosure told CNN. David Hartin, executive vice president of Hawthorne Savings, said Wednesday that the auction will take place on the courthouse steps in Norwalk, a Los Angeles suburb. An ad appeared Wednesday in Metropolitan News, a legal paper where bankruptcy notices frequently appear. The ad will appear two more times, keeping up with the legal requirement of three postings before the auction is held. Special Section
