9 die in California house fire

EAST PALO ALTO, California (CNN) -- Nine people were killed Saturday when an early morning fire raced through a house in this town south of San Francisco, said fire officials.
Five children, three teen-agers and an adult perished in the blaze, said Harold Schapelhouman, Menlo Park Fire Department captain of special operations.
Thirteen people were in the house when the fire broke out, he said. At least three were hospitalized, while three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, although police were investigating the possibility of arson.
