Bailey, Fuhrman discuss polygraph test on 'Larry King Live'
March 21, 1997 LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Famed attorney F. Lee Bailey said Thursday he would make an apology to Mark Fuhrman if the former police detective passed what he considered a legitimate polygraph test. But Bailey hinted the apology wouldn't come any time soon. Fuhrman passed a polygraph test Monday, but Bailey rebutted its legitimacy on "Larry King Live." The two discussed the issue in separate interviews on the show.
Fuhrman said he took the polygraph at his own expense because
he was tired of questions about whether he planted evidence
in the O.J. Simpson case. He also said he wanted to vindicate
himself and the Los Angeles Police Department. However, Bailey challenged Fuhrman to have a test administered by the LAPD's polygraph unit. (644/28 sec. Also during the show, Bailey said Simpson had taken a polygraph test but the results were kept at attorney Robert Shapiro's home. Related transcript:Special section:
