LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Los Angeles Police Department detectives are trying to find a black male in his early 20s who is suspected in the weekend drive-by shooting death of gangsta rap performer The Notorious B.I.G.
The rapper, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was killed Sunday after leaving a museum. Lt. Ross Moen of LAPD says 20 detectives are working round-the-clock to interview over 200 who may have seen the shooting.
Police say witnesses have stated that there were hundreds of people standing outside the museum when the shooting occurred. One of the vehicles in Wallace's entourage chased the suspect's car after the shooting, but could not keep up.
