LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Contaminated fish is suspected in a food poisoning outbreak that sickened 28 people making a TV commercial for the Ford Motor Company. Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department were called Thursday shortly after the cast and crew of ACC Productions had eaten a catered lunch, which included seafood.
Their symptoms include rashes, hives, sweating, headaches and stomach cramps. A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department said that 10 people were critically ill while 18 others were less seriously sickened.
The Los Angeles Fire Department's medical director says he suspects a type of food poisoning caused by eating contaminated fish. A spokeswoman at one of the hospitals treating the victims said they had eaten Chilean sea bass.
