The cat's meow ...
February 27, 1997Web posted at: 11:41 p.m. EDT (0341 GMT) NEW YORK (CNN) -- You're probably familiar with the American shorthair, but a Selkirk Siberian? More than 50 fine felines will be vying for the role of Top Cat at the International Cats Show/INCATS Feline Festival, being held March 1-2 at Madison Square Garden. The cats on display run the gamut from the more-familiar tabbies and tortoise-shells to the more exotic Turkish Angoras, Tonkinese and Scottish folds. There are cats with long hair, cats with short hair -- and some with no hair at all. And to make sure those pretty kitties remain petted and pampered, a cat therapist, cat astrologer and the show's official pet psychic will also be on hand.
