Turner administrative assistant Dee Woods dies
February 24, 1995 Atlanta-- Dolores Roberts "Dee" Woods, a longtime administrative assistant to Time Warner executive Ted Turner, died Sunday following a lengthy illness. She was 60. Ms. Woods, a vice president for Turner Broadcasting System, had been Turner's executive secretary for 20 years. Turner considered her one of his most able and trusted confidants. "She was so much more than the best administrative assistant that I've ever known. She was part of my family," Turner said from his home in Florida. Ms. Woods is survived by her husband, Larry Woods, who is a national correspondent for Cable News Network. She is also survived by two sons, two daughters, her mother and five grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday in Atlanta.
