Former Little Miss Colorado buried

ATLANTA (CNN) -- A grief-stricken family said good-bye to their 6-year-old daughter Tuesday at her funeral in Atlanta. The body of JonBenet Ramsey was found in the basement of her Boulder, Colorado, home on Thursday. She had been strangled.

A white teddy bear was propped up against the coffin of the child, who was Little Miss Colorado in 1995.

"How can somebody do this to such a beautiful little girl? ... It's very sad," said Kay Brown, a family friend. The services were held at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, where the child had been baptized.

Police said no one has been ruled out as a suspect in the slaying, but authorities said Monday that the public is in no danger from a killer on the loose. They did not explain why there is no need for concern.
